097: Goalkeeper-Specific Strength & Conditioning with Jesse Goleman
With a background in strength & conditioning – as well as goalkeeping – Jesse Goleman had combined both of his passions and areas of expertise in GoleLine, a business dedicated to developing all aspects of the modern goalkeeper.
In today’s episode, Jesse discusses the most important aspects of a goalkeeper’s strength & conditioning program. He makes the case for specialized, niche training for keepers, and outlines several key components that you should look for in a good training plan. He also identifies a number of common mistakes that he sees, and the best ways to avoid them and to stay motivated.
In addition to discussing workouts in general terms, Jesse has also provided several complete programs – free of charge – for all 6yd Box listeners These include a comprehensive, 12-week Summer/offseason program, as well as a bodyweight program that can be implemented virtually anywhere, including the privacy of your own home (link below).

Good Stuff, I really liked what he said and what he offered. A goalkeeper for sure needs different work than a field player so catering to them is huge in the weightlifting and fitness aspects.
